VPD takes private security message to streets amid enhance in stranger assaults

After reporting an uptick in unprovoked stranger assaults final fall, Vancouver Police took their public security message to the streets Saturday in an effort to attach with residents in 4 communities.

Pop-up tents have been arrange from 10:30 a.m. to three:00 p.m. at Principal and Keefer Streets in Chinatown, the West Finish Neighborhood Centre, Olympic Village Sq. and Fraser Avenue and East forty ninth Avenue – the place officers and native policing centre volunteers handed out free private security alarms and listened to the general public’s issues.
